Cherry Hill Police are seeking help identifying those involved in an early-morning shooting in the Woodland section of the township Tuesday.
Just before 12:30 a.m. May 24, officers responded to the 600 block of Woodland Avenue for multiple reports of shots fired in the area.
There, they discovered a home in the neighborhood that had been hit with gunfire. Fortunately, the family within the residence was unharmed.
Despite an influx of patrol cars to the scene, no suspect was identified.
After investigation, police believe the shots were fired from a white sport utility vehicle, possibly a Range Rover, that was occupied by more than one person.
Although the investigation remains ongoing, Cherry Hill Police Chief Robert Kempf said detectives do not believe the shooting was a random act.
Neither did the chief believe the shooting was connected with similar reports of weapons fired in Pennsauken neighborhoods in the past few weeks.
Kempf requested that anyone with information about the case, or camera footage of the area in question, contact Cherry Hill Police at 856-488-7828.
