Haddonfield police are looking for a man they say attempted to abduct an 18-year-old woman walking home from work on Tanner Street last week.
Around 11 p.m. Tuesday, September 16, police said the woman was approached a man described as being in his 20s or 30s, with medium-length, shaggy hair.
He allegedly pulled up in a silver or gray sedan, and asked her name. When the woman ignored him, the man reportedly exited the vehicle and grabbed her.
Police say the woman fought back, and her alleged assailant retreated to his car and drove off. The man may have sustained scratches to his face, neck, and chest.
Haddonfield police said that the incident was not initially reported to them, and that contrary to an initial report from the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office, it happened on Tuesday and not Thursday of last week.
Anyone with information regarding the alleged assault is asked to call Camden County Prosecutor’s Office Detective Vincent McCalla at (856) 225-8569 or Haddonfield Police Sgt. Steve Camiscioli at (856) 429-3000.
