A Hainesport man whom police chased after the alleged robbery of a Cherry Hill gas station on Sunday was later identified and charged in multiple robberies in six different towns.
Jason D. Clevenger, 27, was charged with three counts of robbery in connection with the November 4 and 10 robberies and the November 13 attempted robbery of the Citgo Gas Station at 1510 Route 38, as well as in the robbery of the Lukoil Gas Station at 1000 W. Route 70 on November 6.
According to Cherry Hill police, an officer in the vicinity of the Citgo station saw the attendant running from the business just before 1 p.m. Sunday. The officer was informed that the station was being robbed, and allegedly located a suspect nearby. The driver eluded police after a short pursuit.
Subsequently, a search of the area with the assistance of K-9 units allegedly revealed clothing and an airsoft gun that allegedly belonged to Clevenger. He was arrested in Hainesport not long after.
Clevenger was charged with three counts of robbery, three counts of possession of an imitation firearm, and eluding arrest. He was remanded to the Camden County Jail in default of $250,000.00 full-cash bail.
Clevenger also faces charges for robberies in Haddon Township, Pennsauken, Lawnside, Voorhees, and Hamilton.
