UPDATE: August 26, 2024 (2:45 p.m.) — The victim in a sudden death case in Haddon Township was discovered to have taken his own life, authorities have determined.

Around 3 p.m. June 10, the entrances to the former Rite Aid in the 600 block of Cuthbert Boulevard were taped off to vehicle traffic, with parked police SUVs at each.

Investigators from the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office (CCPO) were seen working in the drive-through area of the shuttered pharmacy.

CCPO Chief Robert Ferris said at the time that the death investigation revealed no threat to public safety.

Investigators later determined that the deceased was an elderly Haddon Township man.

The victim’s family was notified subsequent to the incident, and authorities won’t be releasing additional information about the case.
