Three vehicles were recovered from Cooper River in Pennsauken Thursday afternoon, one of which contained human remains, according to the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office (CCPO).
The vehicles had been submerged in the Cooper River along North Park Drive, south of Kaighn Avenue in Pennsauken, CCPO reported.
Authorities are performing DNA testing to identify the human remains recovered from the driver side area of one of the vehicles.
The multi-agency response included representatives from Pennsauken Police and Fire Departments, the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation, New Jersey State Police, Camden County Police, Camden County/Bellmawr Dive Team, Camden County Office of Emergency Management (OEM), and United Search Corps Missing Persons Unit.
