UPDATE: August 8, 2019, 11:15 a.m. — A Collingswood teenager reported missing earlier this week has been recovered by police in Baltimore, Maryland.
Sixteen-year-old Erich Gittler was believed to have left his home in Camden County en route to North Carolina.
Thursday morning, Gittler’s mother said that he was located safely, and that the family is traveling to bring him home presently.
She thanked everyone who contributed to the search efforts.

Erich Gittler, 16, is described as approximately five-feet, seven-inches tall, about 180 pounds, with brown eyes and chest-length, long, brown hair.
He was last seen wearing a white, V-neck t-shirt, black skinny jeans with a rip in the knees, and grey sneakers, and carrying a backpack full of clothes according to a statement from the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office (CCPO).
Police said Gittler left his home in the 300 block of Lees Avenue in Collingswood sometime between midnight and 8:00 a.m. August 4.
Family members said he may have been spotted in Knight Park in Collingswood around midnight.
They believe he may be heading to North Carolina.
Anyone who encounters Gittler is asked to call 9-1-1 immediately and report his location.
