Both towns will hold elections for their Board of Fire Commissioners and annual budgets from 2 to 9 p.m. Saturday.

From 2 to 9 p.m. today, elections will be held throughout Camden County for the eight communities whose fire and EMS budgets are administered by local boards of fire commissioners; in the NJ Pen coverage area, those include Haddon Township and Cherry Hill.
In Cherry Hill (Fire District #13), the proposed, $27.4-million budget would raise $21.9 million in taxes for 2015 at an average assessment of $661.37, according to documents from the body.
The average assessed value of a home in the township was $223,500 in 2014; the budget will levy 0.287 cents per $100 of assessed value, identical to the 2014 and 2013 levies.
In Haddon Township (Fire District #1), the proposed, $1.58-million budget would raise $1.26 million in taxes for 2015 at an average assessment of $289.90. The average assessed value of a home in the township was $223,000 in 2014; the budget will levy 0.131 cents per $100 of assessed value, identical to the 2014 tax, and up only slightly from that in 2013.
In Haddon Township, voters will cast their ballots at the Westmont Fire Station (120 Haddon Ave.); Cherry Hill residents should use this locator to find their polling places.
