A Camden City man has been charged in connection with four armed robberies of two separate gas stations and a Dunkin Donuts coffee shop in the past week.
According to the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office (CCPO), 30-year-old Carlos Figueroa allegedly robbed the Conoco gas station in the 500 block of Crescent Boulevard in Haddon Township around 4 a.m. on August 28, and then again just after midnight on September 1.
In both instances, Figueroa is accused of brandishing a knife at the station attendant and then fleeing with cash.
Just a few days later, Figueroa is alleged to have robbed the Gulf gas station and the Dunkin Donuts on Crescent Boulevard in Collingswood, again at knifepoint. Those incidents reportedly occurred back to back in the overnight hours of September 3 into September 4.
Detectives arrested Figueroa in the 1400 block of Bradley Avenue in Camden on September 6. He was charged with four counts of first-degree armed robbery, multiple counts of aggravated assault, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and unlawful possession of a weapon.
Figueroa is being held at the Camden County jail pending a pretrial hearing.
Anyone charged with a criminal offense is presumed innocent unless and until found guilty in a court of law. An arrest is not a conviction.
